Built Right the First Time.
We design your sauna, supply every material, and ensure it's installed properly — so you can enjoy it without worrying about a single detail.
You Want a Sauna. Now What?
You've decided you want a custom sauna in your home. But now you're stuck. Who designs it? Where do you get the materials? Will your contractor even know how to build one?
Most builders have never constructed a sauna. The ones who have often guess at ventilation, heater sizing, and wood selection — details that make or break the experience. And most homeowners end up piecing together advice from forums, random suppliers, and contractors who are learning on their dime.
It doesn't have to be that hard. East Coast Saunas handles everything that makes sauna projects go wrong — so yours goes right.

A sauna is more than a room. It's a place to put down your phone, sit with the people you love, and be present. Everything we build is rooted in Nordic tradition — simplicity, purity, and real heat. No infrared. No gimmicks. Just the real thing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not necessarily. If you have a contractor or builder you already work with, we provide them with everything they need — CAD design, materials, and step-by-step build plans. If you don't have one, we can help connect you with a qualified installer in your area through our contractor network.
Yes. Our build plans are step-by-step and our CAD drawings specify every detail — bench depths, vent placement, heater positioning, clearances. If your contractor can build a high-end bathroom or do finish carpentry, they can build a sauna with our plans. We're also available throughout the entire build for questions.
Everything needed for the sauna portion of the build: premium wood (multiple species available), sauna heater, pre-hung sauna door, bench and backrest and duckboard materials, accessories (sand timer, bucket and ladle), LED lighting kit, foil vapor barrier and foil tape, and all hardware. Plus a custom CAD design, step-by-step install guide, live specialist support, and delivery to your home in a palletized crate.
Once we have your project details, we deliver a rough CAD within one week for your review. The step-by-step building guide is sent immediately upon payment. Materials typically arrive within four weeks, and the finalized CAD arrives before the materials so your contractor is ready from day one. Most sauna builds are completed in three to five days.
Yes. We ship materials anywhere in the country, directly to your home or job site. Our design and support process works entirely remotely.
Everything we do is inspired by Nordic culture — simplicity, purity, and reconnecting with nature. Infrared units are not true saunas. The landmark studies demonstrating sauna's cardiovascular benefits and significant reductions in all-cause mortality were conducted on traditional Nordic saunas operating above 176°F. That's the standard we build to. Beyond that, infrared panels pose unknown risks of prolonged EMF and EMR exposure that simply haven't been studied over time. We do one thing, rooted in tradition, and we do it at the highest level.
